One of the major components of the model village concept is green and surplus energy. We are glad to share that Global Himalayan Expedition has solar electrified our model village Daribokgre through raising CSR. All 37 houses have been provided with lights and fan powered by solar. Few solar street lights also have been installed across the village.
The solar technicians who have installed the lights are also from Garo Hills region and were trained by GHE. While installing they have also given training to people from the village so that minor repairs can be locally handled. Here are few breath taking pictures after the solar electrification.
